The Annual Summit

The Africa Food Systems Forum annual summit convenes stakeholders in agriculture and food systems, driving collaboration and coordination.

Technical Assistance

Africa Food Systems Forum’s thematic platforms serve as comprehensive hubs for data and knowledge sharing and offer analytical and technical advisory support based on local, national and regional expertise and data systems and demand.

The Financing Platform

The financing platform is a collaborative space that serves as a hub for MSMEs, public authorities and investors to drive food system transformation.

OUR HISTORY

2006 - 2009
Title

Yara International organized the first African Green Revolution Conference in Oslo in 2006. From 2007 to 2009, it was held as an annual event focused on fostering public-private partnerships and mobilizing investments in African agriculture.

2010 - 2021
Title

Since 2010, the annual Africa Food Systems Forum Summit has been convened on different themes and in different African regions, gathering Heads of State, ministers, business leaders, development partners, farmers, youth, women and more to work together to identify measures for action and policies for advancing the continental agenda on food system development. Throughout this period, theAfrica Food Systems Forum was consolidated as a pivotal platform for propelling the growth of Africa’s agricultural sector. .

2022 - Date
Title

At the end of 2022, the AGRF was rebranded as the Africa Food System Forum in alignment with our partnership's vision for comprehensive food system transformation. The Forum's focus now extends beyond the annual summit to promote discussion and action on pivotal decisions on food systems and food security year round. Our goal is to foster continuous stakeholder engagement throughout the year in measures of action and policies that are crucial for achieving our continent’s food security objectives.
