The Dealroom Process

Access to finance remains one of the major challenges facing SMEs on the African continent. At each AFS Summit, we organize the Deal Room - a platform connecting private food-system companies with investors, mentorship, and market entry solutions.

The Deal Room connects SMEs with potential investors through showcase sessions, culminating in investment pitching sessions attended by investors who are regulars at the AFSF Annual Summit.

You are eligible if you are…

An agribusiness operating in Africa and ready to expand
A micro, small, or medium-sized enterprise championing food systems
An African agribusiness revolutionizing food systems on the continent
Collaborating with one or more AFSF partners
Legally registered and operating in Africa
In business for at least five years
Generating annual revenues of $1 million or more
Having a clear growth strategy and a strong management team
Operating in agribusiness, renewable energy, technology, manufacturing, transport, livestock, or related sectors
