Senegal

Senegal remains one of the most stable countries in Africa and is known as the “Land of Teranga” (the land of hospitality). The 2025 AFSF host country made history in early 2024 by electing the youngest president in Africa’s annals whose vision is clearly centered on youth.

Through the Vision 2050 project, the country’s leadership intends to inspire a wave of youth participation in agri-food systems transformation across Africa.
